On Spit, Kittie's debut, the just-out-of-high-school all-female quartet were an anomaly, giving the male-dominated metal scene a run for its money thanks to the Canadian lineup's near death-metal sophomore outing Oracle, minus original guitarist Fallon Bowman, Kittie rock harder than ever, yet lack the memorable songs required from a band of any gender or genre/5().
Kittie has outdone themselves many times over with this masterpiece. I discovered them a few years ago with Spit. I thought it was great. Charlotte was the very first Kittie song I listened to and loved it, and so I bought the album. Later, I stumbled onto Oracle, and utterly /5().

· Kittie returns from their debut album much, much angrier than before. In fact, despite the first album's aggressive tone, the band spews venom over the tracks with a brutal passion on this one. That does not always translate into great songs, as the disc opener, "Oracle," proves with its repetitive pounding that definitely sounds angry, but.
